Tiltable Plate Inceptor
The TPI system is a highly efficient, compact, and maintenance-free gravitational oil-water separator that utilizes corrugated plate packs to achieve superior separation.
The TPI system uses a corrugated plate pack, which consists of multiple inclined, smaller planes placed on top of each other within a tank. This design dramatically increases the effective separating surface area compared to conventional rectangular tanks.
Oil droplets are intercepted and coalesce into larger droplets within the plate pack. They then rapidly move upwards against the liquid flow to the surface to form a floating oil layer, which is removed through a skim pipe.
Settleable material will be collected in the troughs of the corrugations and slides down to a sludge compartment.
The TPI system offers very small separating diameters and eliminates or greatly reduces adverse factors like short-circuit currents, turbulence, and external factors (e.g., temperature variations) that affect conventional separation tanks. Key advantages include
