The drum filter made by VDZ Aqua is specially designed and constructed for continuous business operations.
The self-cleaning sift-drum is fully made of stainless steel AISI 304. The cone-shaped sifting rings are mounted on the internal corrosive resistant carrying arms.
Because of the inward-facing cone, it creates a profile that opens to the inside, this prevents clogging. Also, this causes a flush surface with a specific gap width, suitable for all types of wastewater.
A dividing compartment with a landing in front of the drum guarantees an evenly distributed water distribution spread over the total width of the drum. A scraper knife is mounted over the total surface width of the rotating drum. The knife of the scraper removes solid materials that are situated on the surface of the drum.
The necessary pressure needed from the knife is caused by a spring or a weight.
The drive system for the rotating drum is a geared motor and a worm transmission with adjustable rpm’s. The hollow shaft simultaneously acts as a connection for the cleaning/spraying system.
In the drum filter, there are multiple sprayer heads that make sure that the drum is cleaned an extra time.
The wastewater flows from the inlet compartment onto the slowly turning drum. Solids that don’t go through the filter stay on the surface, and are removed by the scraper knife. The knife has been designed to bring the recently removed solids to get moved to the gutter and into a disposal bin.
The filtered liquid flows through the filter from the outside inwards. After that, the filtered wastewater flows from the inside back out for an extra cleaning effect.

Based on our experience and know-how we created an aeration system that is more reliable, uses fewer parts but also makes more white water than traditional systems.
Our innovations have led to more flexible designs which can be built to a smaller footprint compared to traditional systems.
Through optimization of all aspects of the system, our treatments use less power, chemicals, and maintenance compared to the traditional systems.
